The end of the world as we know it: Advent, the Apocalypse, and the Gospel of Mark.

Advent Sunday

A Study Afternoon with our Canon Theologian, Canon Dr Jenn Strawbridge, will take place on Zoom at 2.30pm on Tuesday 24th November 2020.  Blackburn Cathedral is developing a number of areas of work to help resource Christians across Lancashire, and this is the first of what will become a regular pattern of both virtual and face to face opportunities as part of the Cathedral’s commitment to mission engagement and evangelism.

This first event, which will last one hour, is mainly aimed at clergy, but will also be of interest to others who are involved in preaching or developing their understanding of the Bible.  Jenn is Associate Professor in New Testament Studies at Oxford, and Theology Fellow at Mansfield College, Oxford.  Those who attended the Diocesan Conference in 2018 will remember her engaging and accessible Bible Studies.

Please email Pauline Rowe to book your place on pauline.rowe@blackburncathedral.co.uk

Today was a momentous day. The first people received their jabs at the mass vaccination centre @bbcathedral 👏

Here, our leader @MohammedKhanCBE talks how pleased he is the centre is open + he urges everyone to get vaccinated when the NHS calls @BwDCCG
