Accessibility

We have worked hard to make the Cathedral as accessible as possible.

Although there are some old, uneven surfaces and care should be taken, Blackburn Cathedral is fully accessible and wheelchair friendly. There is level access into and around the Cathedral and there is a lift available to all floors.

Disabled toilets

We have standard accessible toilets as well as a registered Changing Places toilet too so that everyone, regardless of their needs, can use our facilities.

Changing Places Toilet

We are proud to be the first place of worship in Lancashire to offer a Changing Places toilet. Full details can be found by visiting the Changing Places website.

Disabled parking

We have a limited number of disabled parking spaces available and event ticket holders should contact Pauline Rowe on: 01254 845301 or email: [email protected] for more details and to book a space.

Lift access

There is level access into and around the Cathedral and there is a lift available to all floors.

Wheelchairs & mobility scooters

Unfortunately we do not provide any wheelchairs or scooters, so all guests with such requirements will need to provide their own mobility and support aids.

Help upon arrival

If you have a specific access need, please speak to a member of our team or a volunteer when arriving at the Cathedral who will be happy to help you.
