New Director of Discipleship is licensed by Bishop Julian

More exciting news for the Diocese as Ruth Hassall is commissioned as Diocesan Director of Discipleship.

The licensing by Rt Rev. Julian Henderson, Bishop of Blackburn, took place on Sunday evening at Blackburn Cathedral.

Ruth is pictured with The Ven. Mark Ireland, Archdeacon of Blackburn (left) and Bishop Julian after the service.

Ruth’s role involves heading up the Diocesan Making Disciples team encouraging a focus on discipleship across the diocese as part of our Vision 2026

The team will help parishes with deepening prayer, Bible study and stewardship and equipping people to live as confident disciples of Jesus in daily life.
