Friends of Cathedral Music Choral Scholarship Grant

Blackburn Cathedral are extremely grateful to the Friends of Cathedral Music for granting the Tony Harvey Award to Gregory Treloar, our Tenor Choral Scholar from 2018-2019. The award arose from specific instructions given in Tony Harvey’s will asking to support a Choral Scholar in an English Cathedral.

Gregory joined the cathedral in September 2018 and alongside his duties in the cathedral he is currently studying a Master’s degree in English Church Music at the University of York under Professor Jonathan Wainwright. Gregory is very grateful to the FCM for this award and hopes to use it to further his research.
