Tree Festival Booking
Show your support and get involved with Lancashire's Biggest Christmas Tree Festival taking place at Blackburn Cathedral.
We're calling on local schools, businesses, charities and community groups to get involved and sponsor a tree as we transform the Cathedral into a magical, festive wonderland, filled with real trees - all beautifully and individually hand decorated - to deliver a wonderful Christmas experience for all the family.
Trees will be displayed across the Cathedral and there are a range of tree sizes to choose from with prices based on the size.
Places are strictly limited so please book early to secure your tree.
Here's all the information you need to take part in the Christmas Tree Festival:
Useful Information
What’s Included?
Here’s what’s included in your tree sponsorship cost:
- A real Christmas tree at your chosen size.
- A sturdy holder in which your tree will stand.
- Your tree will be pre-lit with warm white Christmas lights.
- The use of a display stand into which we will place information about your organisation.
- Your sponsorship will act as a donation towards the cost of the above and hosting the Festival.
Tree Sizes
There are a number of size options – from 4ft upwards – and the price increases the bigger the tree you choose. If you want to make a real impact, we’d recommend going larger as the Cathedral is big so you want to make sure you stand out.
Dressing Your Tree
You can decorate your tree in any way you wish and participants are encouraged to be as creative and imaginative as they wish!
You could consider theming your tree in your brand colours, or you could add pictures of your team for example. We want your tree to represent your organisation so that every tree is completely different… the only limit is your imagination.
Tree Decorating Times
All participants will be provided with a choice of dates / times between 26th – 29th November during which your tree must be decorated.
After the Festival
All participants will be provided with a date by which their decorations must be collected from the Cathedral. Any items left behind after the deadline will be recycled, where possible, or destroyed.
Festival Terms
Prior to confirming your booking, making payment, or participating in the Festival, please read our terms of participation carefully.
Payment
All participants will receive a request for payment via email (to the billing contact details you supply when you book) detailing how to pay. Please note that we are only able to accept BACS payments and full details will be provided. Please note that payment must be received in full in order to secure your place.
Fundraising
We are a charity and the Christmas Tree Festival is being held to raise vital funds that support our mission and the communities we serve.
Your support – be that by visiting, donating, sponsoring a tree or supporting the Festival in other ways – helps to secure the long-term future of your Cathedral so that we can remain open to all, both now and for future generations.
