Just to keep the Cathedral running requires nearly a million pounds every year. And an enormous building like this costs a great deal more in maintenance and repair work.
Sunday, December 2nd at 6.30pm
The Advent Procession is an example of the very best in liturgical drama, moving from darkness to light through the great space which is our cathedral. It seeks to reflect the great Advent themes of hope and expectation which precede our celebration of Christmas.
The service will, as usual, include music sung in procession by the Cathedral Choir, the Cathedral Girls’ Choir and the Young People’s Choir. There will also be the opportunity for all to join in those traditional Advent hymns which sound so powerful in the midst of a great congregation.
All are welcome to this service and we ask you to be seated by 6.10pm.
