Tours of Blackburn Cathedral
Come and Be Surprised!
Blackburn Cathedral is pleased to announce that tours of the Cathedral are now available.
Why not come along and join one of our regular tours where our experienced tour guides will help you understand the history, architecture and art that you will find inside our beautiful building.

General tours are available on the second Saturday and the fourth Friday of the month. Subject to the availability of our Volunteer Guides. If you are travelling far, please call ahead to check the tours are going ahead.
Please arrive at the Welcome Desk near the West Doors at either 11.00am or 1.00pm. No need to book for groups of up to 10, but we will only be able to cater for up to 15 people at any one time.
Groups larger than 10 will need to book in advance and arrange a specific date and time for their tour.

Tailored tours for groups of between 5 and 20 can be arranged by calling the Cathedral office. These may focus on specific areas of interest such as: ‘The Journey’, Penny Warden’s depictions of the Stations of the Cross or the works of John Hayward or ‘Christianity in East Lancashire’. At certain times of the year, we are also able to offer tours of the Bell Tower.
For individuals or small family groups of up to 4 adults, guided tours are free but with a suggested minimum donation of £3.00.
For general tour groups larger than 4 adults and up to 10 adults, there will be a charge of £20.00. Larger groups (maximum of 20) will be charged an extra £2.00 per person to a maximum of £40.00.
For tailored tours prices start at £5.00 per person with a minimum charge of £20.00. These prices are subject to the specific requirements of your tour package.
After your tour, why not call in to Checks & Greys for lunch or afternoon tea. Checks & Greys are happy to provide catering packages for private groups.
