Blackburn Cathedral will be open throughout the day for viewing of The Longest Yarn II - Britain at War.
The Longest Yarn II – Britain at War is a striking, 80m exhibition of knitted and crocheted panels depicting life in Britain between the declaration of war in September 1939 to VE Day in May 1945.
The Longest Yarn II – Britain at War will be available to view whenever the Cathedral is open and all are warmly invited to visit.
Entry to the exhibition is by donation and a suggested donation of £5 per person is encouraged which will be shared equally between the Cathedral’s costs of hosting the event, the upkeep of Blackburn Cathedral and veterans charities.

Visitor restrictions may apply on certain days and guests are advised that their visit may coincide with other activities taking place.
Due to large numbers of visitors, if you plan to bring a group of 10+ people to view the exhibition, please contact us in advance to ensure that we have the capacity to facilitate your visit.
There is no charge for general entry to the Cathedral – be that for visiting, worship, private prayer, lighting a candle or visiting Checks & Greys café.
