A terrible tale of murder in the unlikely setting of a farmyard where feelings run high when a new road is planned. Full of surprises and twists this mystery will have you on the edge of your seats.
Amos Ramsbottom, a well-respected farmer, is discovered dead… hanging from a beam in his chicken coop. Who is the murderer?
Perhaps it was Mayor Lottie Belcher who was eager to construct a new road leading to the village? Could it have been Burt Lard, butcher and handyman (in more ways than one) who enjoys servicing the ladies of the district?
Perhaps Amos’s hard done by wife Constance had finally decided she could take no more. Then there is Amos’s young daughter, a musical prodigy whose life revolves around her piano.
Or was the perpetrator working in association with someone else?
