About Blackburn People’s Choir

Blackburn People’s Choir is an open community choir based in Blackburn and founded in 1998. They sing a wide variety of songs, with something to suit every taste.

There are no auditions and many members don’t read music, but with the strong leadership of Jeff Borradaile, the choir has won awards at festivals and travelled abroad, over many years, to Sweden, Austria, Spain, Hungary, the Republic of Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands.

Rehearsals are welcoming and fun, with music presented in an accessible way and new members are always welcome.

Delivered by Blackburn People’s Choir as part of the National Festival of Making.
