Conversations in Creativity: Esme Young in conversation with Patrick Grant.

Esme Young and Patrick Grant, judges of the hugely popular BBC2 series ‘The Great British Sewing Bee’, join us for a very special afternoon at the National Festival of Making.

Esme Young is an English fashion designer and television presenter who began her career in the 1980s by opening the iconic fashion shop Swanky Modes in Camden. Esme makes costumes for film, including hit titles including The Beach, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet and Trainspotting.

Patrick Grant is an award-winning Scottish fashion designer with a career spanning almost two decades. An outspoken advocate for radical change in the fashion and clothing industry, Patrick has spoken for Ted Talks, written for many newspapers and magazines and is currently penning his second and third books.

This event is FREE to attend however advance booking is essential. Tickets will be checked at the door.

This talk is a Conversations in Creativity event delivered in partnership with Creative Lancashire.

Please arrive at the venue no later than 10 minutes before the talk to allow time for your ticket to be checked and for you to find a seat. After this time, your seat may be allocated on a first come, first served basis to walk-up attendees.
