Man Alive 2024
6th June at 7:30 pmDetails
Now in its second year, ‘Man Alive’ is an event purposely designed to celebrate and encourage men in their walk of faith and exploring faith and how it relates to daily life.
It takes place on Thursday, June 6 from 7.30pm and is for men across the Diocese. The venue is Blackburn Cathedral. Book now.
The evening will be co-hosted by the Very Rev Peter Howell-Jones, Dean of Blackburn and Bishop Tony Porter who will preach. There will be opportunity to find out more about developing work with men in your local church and community.
Mark Mitchell will be joining us for a conversation about men and faith in the workplace. He is founder and MD of the Mitchell Group, Cheshire Oaks. Driven by a passionate Christian faith, Mark has always been counter-cultural in terms of business leadership, having had to face some serious consequences when they decided not to conduct business on Sundays because God mandates it and also because they felt responsible for their staff and their families getting to spend time together on a Sunday. Despite the circumstances, they stood their ground. And God came through for them in a miraculous way.
What next? Get talking about it in person in your church and on social media and invite men to attend with you.
