Join us for a very special concert under Gaia celebrating Christopher Nolan’s epic film Interstellar and its soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer and performed live by the original recording artist, Roger Sayer.
Join us for Interstellar with Roger Sayer, the organist on the original film soundtrack, performing live at Blackburn Cathedral.
Roger will perform a suite of Hans Zimmer’s music from the film’s famous score on one of the country’s most iconic organs.
The first half of the concert will include intergalactic favourites including:
- Thunderbirds – Barry Gray
- Imperial March Darth Vader’s Theme – John Williams
- Princess Leia’s Theme – John Williams
- March from ‘Things to Come’ – Arthur Bliss
- Solaris Theme – Bach
- Flying Theme ET – John Williams
- The Throne Room and End Titles Star Wars – John Williams
Roger will then discuss working with both Nolan and Zimmer, which will be followed by an audience Q&A.
The second half will feature music from Hans Zimmer’s acclaimed soundtrack – as the Interstellar score mirrors the film’s drama and emotion. You’ll hear standout pieces like: Cornfield Chase, Stay and No Time for Caution and immerse yourself as you are instantly brought back to your experience of the blockbuster film.
