The Cathedral Music Trust is the leading charity for cathedral choirs and they have been extremely generous to us at Blackburn Cathedral so please do join us to celebrate our choral music.
The 10.30am Eucharist features Langlais’ epic Messe Solonnelle, which will sound incredible on our iconic organ.
The afternoon will see our Director of Music John Robinson and Organist in Residence John Hosking discussing organ improvisation which is another art which makes such good use of our organ.
Then there will be Choral Evensong at 4pm followed by a concert by Tom Bell (Concert Organist and Regional Director of Royal College of Organists) at 4.45pm which is followed by informal discussions with Tom and refreshments to finish the day.
