Community Health and Wellbeing Open Day

Whether you are looking to take positive steps for your own health, seeking guidance for a loved one, or simply keen to learn about the support available to you, the Community Health and Wellbeing Day at Blackburn Cathedral offers a welcoming space to find out more.

This event brings together over 30 trusted local and national charities, NHS teams, and specialist organisations under one roof, offering you direct, face-to-face access to experts who are here to help, listen, and guide you.

What’s on Offer?

• Direct Access to Experts: speak directly with representatives from leading health, social care, and community organisations without waiting lists or appointments.
• Support for Every Stage of Life: from child vaccinations and carers’ support to eldercare, mental health guidance, and debt relief, you’ll find practical help tailored to your family’s needs.
• Learn about local initiatives, accessibility services, and support networks across Lancashire that you might not even know exist.
• Explore at your own pace: there are no presentations or schedules – just friendly faces ready for an informal chat and to provide useful information.

Useful Information

There is no charge to attend and you do not need to book a ticket, simply come along on the day. You can drop in for a few minutes or stay for as long as you like – we encourage everybody to discover the resources, advice, and friendly support available to you in our community.

This event takes place at Blackburn Cathedral and entry is via the main West Doors at the front of the Cathedral which is opposite BBC Radio Lancashire on Darwen Street, BB1 5AA.

Please note that there is no onsite parking however there are a number of public car parks close by.

Although there are some old, uneven surfaces and care should be taken, the Cathedral is fully accessible and wheelchair friendly.
