We’re delighted to introduceCathedral Craft Club- a series of unmissable monthly crafting events at Blackburn Cathedral.
We’re partnering with differentexperts each month to bringhigh quality, friendly, crafting sessions to the Cathedral.
Each session features a unique craft and they are suitable for all abilities too. There are no subscription fees - you are welcome to attend as many events as you like - simplychoose the activity you want to try, pay as you go and start crafting!
Cathedral Craft Club forms part of our programmeof fundraising events, held to raise vital funds thatsupport our mission and the communities we serve.We thank you for your support.

Rope Rainbow Workshop
Sunday 2nd August 2026
Join us for an afternoon of creative, mindful rainbow making with Rebecca Turner of Fred & Pearl.
In this workshop, you will create two beautiful yarn rainbows – one as a keychain/bag charm and one as a hanging decoration.
You are free to choose the colours to suit your own personal style or create your rainbows as gifts for a loved one.
Crochet Poppies Workshop

You are warmly invited to attend a special Crochet Poppy workshop around the Table for the Nation, where you can make your own poppies in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Everybody is welcome from complete beginners to experts and crochet groups to take part in creating poppies to form a powerful, visual Remembrance Sunday tribute.
Learn simple crochet techniques (or build on existing skills) as we all contribute to this special community artwork.
Fused Glass Workshop

Join us for a unique creative experience with our Fused Glass Candle Curve Workshop, where creativity and craftsmanship come together in a friendly, hands-on session.
During this workshop you will create your own candle curve using a selection of coloured glasses, glass rods, frits and stringers to create your beautiful piece.
Your creations will be fired by Redcurrant Glass after the workshop and returned by post to your UK mainland address.

You'll learn how to hold your crochet hook and yarn, create a foundation chain, master the essential stitches and begin working on your very first crochet project.

Candle Making Workshop

Whether you're looking for a mindful activity or a chance to learn a new skill, this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to unwind in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
During this hands-on workshop, you will create your very own 20cl soy wax candle along with a pot of beautifully scented soy wax melts to take home.
Willow Weaving Workshop
Sunday 21st February 2027
Join Julie from Pip Cottage and have a go at weaving willow fish, stars and wreaths then make them into mobiles, hanging decorations or to put on a stick for display at home and in the garden.
All materials and tools will be provided and step-by-step demonstrations and any help needed will be given.
