Cathedral Craft Club – Willow Weaving Workshop

Join Julie from Pip Cottage and have a go at weaving willow fish, stars and wreaths then make them into mobiles, hanging decorations or to put on a stick for display at home and in the garden.
All materials and tools will be provided and step-by-step demonstrations and any help needed will be given.
Julie will bring example makes for you to look at and start by handing out willow to everyone and describing how to work the willow to make the basic fish, circle and star shapes.
You’ll then have opportunity and help to make your shapes into mobiles, wreaths and decorations or spend more time weaving to fill in the shapes with willow.
The workshop is an enjoyable introduction to willow weaving and is suitable for adult beginners and young people aged 14 plus accompanied by an adult please as we will be using secateurs.
