Living Tradition is a unique bilingual charity performance celebrating Ukraine’s living heritage through traditional clothing, music, and dance.

Join us for an uplifting evening of beauty, memory, and meaning in the Crypt at Blackburn Cathedral.

Expect powerful symbolism, vibrant regional costumes, ancient rituals brought to life, and a moving tribute to resilience — all accompanied by the haunting sounds of the bandura and a touch of modern flair.

The show is conducted in English, with select expressions and songs in Ukrainian to evoke the emotional and poetic heart of the culture.

All proceeds support Ukrainian cultural preservation and local charities.

Enjoy Ukrainian refreshments, folk art displays, and warm conversation before the show.

This show is presented by KRYLA Culture CIC in collaboration with Ukrainian Hub in Preston, with co-organisers AUGB Liverpool Branch, and supported by Blackburn Cathedral and Ukrainian Hub Brama.
