Blackburn Cathedral Announce New Cathedral Chapter

In accordance with the 2021 Cathedrals Measure and to comply with our Charity Commission registration, a new Constitution and Statutes was drafted bringing into being a new Cathedral Chapter who become the Trustees of the new charity.

Meet our New Trustees

Under that Constitution and Statutes there are now a majority of Non-Executive Members.  In addition, the introduction of a senior non-executive member as vice-chair provides additional support to the Dean as chair.

Alongside their strong Christian commitment, the Non-Executives will bring a considerable range of professional expertise and experience, and a particular passion for the Cathedral helping us to engage with the whole of the diocese and wider county.

Our new Chapter was formally sworn in during the service to welcome the new Bishop of Burnley on Sunday 8th September at 4pm.  Please continue to pray for them and the responsibility they carry.
